Chris has been involved in Complementary Health since 1995 when her interest in Spiritual Healing took her one step further and she received attunements as a Reiki Practitioner. This followed with an ITEC diploma in Anatomy and Physiology in order to obtain professional indemnity insurance to use healing with clients.
As relaxation is so much a part of preventative health care Chris decided to train as a Masseuse. Later after experiencing Reflexology on herself and understanding how it worked with underlying energy, meridians and chakras, Chris trained as a Reflexologist and later specialised with infertility and cancer patients.
The more she learned about Spirituality and complementary health care, anatomy and physiology, the more she wanted to incorporate the skills together and work holistically (Mind Body and Spirit). Chris’ teaching made her realise the human physical body is not just made up of parts – it is Mind, Body and Spirit. There is a space within every cell and nucleus and within the space is the Energy /Universal Life Force/Chi/Ki (whatever name it is the same) our Spirit that flows. It is beyond the physical.
As Chris worked more and more with clients she realised that most had required treatment at a level that was overlying a personal trauma or problem and counselling skills were required. As her own personal spiritual path had by now taken her into the philosophy of metaphysics it seemed natural to qualify as a counsellor from a spiritual rather than conventional aspect. Chris qualified as a Metaphysical Counsellor in December 2000.
In addition, Chris has attended tuition at the Linda Jackson Macmillan Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital and is on their referral list to work with cancer patients.
In 2004 Chris started to give talks and facilitate workshops on all her work to give a deeper understanding of New Spirituality to other lives. Also in 2005 qualified to teach on behalf of MSEC a diploma certified 6-week Introductory Course in Metaphysics entitled Self Awareness.
